The Economic Case for Universal, High-Quality Preschool Access

United Way of Northern Arizona (UWNA) recently hosted a conversation with community leaders about how strategic investments in early childhood education infrastructure supports our local workforce and regional economic in northern Arizona. The event included two presentations: Melinda Morrison Gulick, CEO of First Things First, discussed the current crisis in child care access in Arizona, which costs the state economic $4.7 billion each year, while Mari Strand Cary of the Institute for Child Success discussed the impact of Elevate PreK on both students and their families.
